UTLA Reaches Tentative Agreement in Los Angeles on 4/18
Congratulations to UTLA for reaching a tentative agreement in their common good fight for the learning community of The Los Angeles Unified School District.

Their unwavering dedication to the wellbeing not just of teachers, but students, their families and the communities, led to the tentative agreement which includes groundbreaking transformations for racial and economic justice.

These demands will allow teachers in the LAUSD to further provide students the attention they deserve.

“LAUSD now has an opportunity to become one of the most successful school districts in the country. We held the line during bargaining on a number of initiatives because educators are the experts on what has the ability to transform LAUSD into a more equitable environment that not only improves students’ learning, but also the quality of life for LA families. We are proud of our transformational bargaining for the common good!”
– Cecily Myart-Cruz, President of UTLA and Bargaining for the Common Good Advisory Committee member.
